multiplayer mission makeing issues.... help

ok me and my buddy have been playing arma sience it came out and we played operation flashpoint also and in both games we had the same problem, what we are trying to do is make a mission where we both have our own choppers and we go out and pick up and drop off troops then pick up more and drop them off.... we have the or own waypoints just in the same place. we have tried being in the same group, independent it just wont work so if anyone has had this prob and got it too work than please help us out...... thanks............
