Importing objects from an OFP island

Recommended Posts

EDIT: For the benefit of any searchers, i figured it out HERE

Hello all,

I'm interested in finding out if V3 can import objects from an OFP island (in any format), by any means. I haven't had much time to experiment, and all of my attempts have failed. I assume it must be possible, since the CWR team appears to be close to finishing the CWC islands.

I know V3 provides a script capable of importing a suitably formated text list of objects and locations, but this doesn't assist without a means of creating such a list from an OFP PEW/WRP.

Has anyone been able to import objects from an OFP terrain/island?

CWR team uses OFP_Elite projects, and only transfer data from them to new ones.

I tried to open OFP map project using V3, and it worked. I did not attempt to edit it further, so I cannot say if it would work...

If you open just WRP, you will get only terrain at best...

Yup,

We simply created a new project, and exported all objects (using scripts) and terrain (pbl way) into new project.

I haven't tried to open an V2 project file in V3 yet. ( tounge2.gif I kinda lost my old .pew files.)

I have a similar problem.

I want to open my PedagneIsland.wrp (i have lost the upgraded .pew file) in V3. But i don't know how.

Have you some idea, or there is not a way?

I have a too old files .pew of my Pedagne Island. So do not rappresent the last version of the Island. It only the 50% of the actual work.

It was possible to import a binarized OFP WRP into Visitor2, to get a pew, but it seemed to be very tempremental about addons. I still haven't been able to open a v2 pew in v3 with objects.

So, i think that is better to open the ancient .pew never object. And, slow, re-work the entire island with the reference on an image of Pedagne Island.

Thanks for your reply
