I finally got it to work. I have an a7v motherboard and soundblaster live! value card.

I installed the game and then ran the patch program, but when the first error came on the screen and prompted to do what I chose abort and wrote down every file that was 'corrupt'. I then switched my OFP disk to my second cd drive, the cdrw and copied over any file that was 'corrupt'. Then I patched as normal and everything went fine.

Hope this helps

When i first baught OFP, It installed perfect

but i got "Please insert the correct CD-ROM" errors trying to run it.

It would take 1 minute for that message to appear as my CD-ROM went really fast then slow then fast trying to read it.

I had to replace my CD-ROM Drive.

I got that too. But my prob is due to small scratches on the edge of my cd. I ended up having to resolve the problem with "last resorts". NOT buying a new copy, but something that ensures no further damage to the cd.
