Cannot install armed assault wont even load disk

I'm about to install armed assault ma bros version whch he got from chezch (or somet) before it came in uk out on his pc it worked without a problem ive just tried on my pc and i put the disk in nothing happened so i went into my comp clicked the disk opened nothing no files folders the disk isn't even named armed assault. i scanned my pc for spy ware viruses nothing restarted it nothing. even cleaned it nothing its in good condition no scratches no marks.

Please help me.

Btw my specs are

Core 2 due 2.4ghz or 2

nvidia 7600gt 256mb

2gb of ram

250gb hard drive space left

windows xp

Do other CDs work? I had a problem simillar, the CD drive had power and appeared as if it should work but wouldnt load the CD, turns out there were 2 bent pins in the back of the drive meaning it wouldnt read the CD.

You may have something simillar or it may be totally different.

But still, try a different CD which you know works and tell us if that works or not.

changed it to region 2 and still nothing and there is no firmware for my driver

It's a DVD drive for sure, not just a CD drive?

yea its a dvd multi recorder dvd rewriter and compact disk rewriter

i believe the cz box version uses starforce. so you might have a starforce problem. google your exact dvd reader model and starforce and see if something comes up.

Ive fixed it i put in another dvd drive so now it works but in czech but ill find a translator
