Newbies Q's

Recommended Posts

I got Arma a few days ago, and there are 2 questions I have to ask.

1. Is there a good way to find Targets when flying a bomber? I can do this well in missions I make ( I know where they are pistols.gif )

but on missions like "Devils Cross" I can

t find any. Even with the radar, as long as they're in a city or forest I can't see them. banghead.gifbanghead.gifbanghead.gif

2. Is there a way I can see the exact terrain in the editor? I realize that there is show textures, but I have to preview to see what's what most of the time.

Also, I just have to say I LOVE the Editor. I've made massive street battles, paradrops, huge airborne battle over the entire island, Amphibious attacks, and 1km+ sniping missions. I played the story mode but... meh.

And on an unrelated note: firefoxlover.gif

1. You mean seeing it with your naked eye? No. What you need is somebody to paint the target for you using a laser designator.

Watch this smile_o.gif.

Once the target is painted, a box should appear on the target. When you have a single box, the target is aquired, when you have a box and a diamond, the target is locked. Just fly level and release your payload when your target is locked smile_o.gif.

2. Not sure. It becomes pretty easy after a while. Keep in the mind that the numbers represent elevation.

2. what you mean is like a 3d editor i gues.

This aint posible in arma, i believe the military version of the game does have it.

There is someone trying to create it but the big problem is you cant save your work.

play around for a month or 2/3 and you know a big part of the island out of your head, add another 3 months and you know almost every detail.

For OFP i almost know every default islands out of my head how it looked like afther 3 years.
