German to English patch issue

Hi,

I had to re-install arma recently but I'm having trouble patching it. I havent had this problem before but now when I launch the game it errors with the securecom, insert cd-rom box

The game works fine without the patcher but obviously...its in german which makes life a bit difficult, altho I am learning lol

I installed:

1.01

1.02

1.02 germ to eng patch

1.05

1.05 - 1.08

Any ideas? - I have tried that hotfix but it didn't work :/

And it takes almost an hour to re-install this game and Ive don't it like 4 times so I'm a bit over it now

Leave out the language patcher! It confuses the official patches.

You don't need it either.

Once patched to 1.08, you can switch to English in the game itself in the option menu.

in fact you only need to install 1.05 and then 1.05-1.08

Where is the option like more or less? - Baring in mind of course that I have no idea what the words in there mean...

If you enter the video options, you can switch the language there.

When i patched to 1.08 ArmA started with english language selected, don`t know if that is normal or not.

Edit:

There should be:

"Sprache" set to "Deutsch", change that to "Sprache" = "English".

I dont want to start new topic, but have pretty similar question, is ti possible to switch from russian (I have russian Cd-key) to english?

Because even after patching to 1.08 I can't switch to English in the game from option menu, there is only 1 language, russian.

Russian version is limited to russian only as the program is cheaper in russia than the rest of the world and this comes with some limits (language selection).
