Rejn 0 Posted August 8, 2007 Since theres no real invunerability settings for a unit I was wondering if there is a way to raise units from the dead? I tried setdammage but they still lie there dead even if their wounds are healed. Basically I have one charachter ai unit whom I don't want to die so apart from eventhandler's altering dammage and setcaptive making it so that enemies dont target him. Is there a way to bring units back from the dead without them being locked in the deadstate animation? Thanks. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
norrin 9 Posted August 9, 2007 I'm interested by this Rejn, why don't you want him to die? Is it because he's needed later in the mission or needs to die later in the mission? If this is the case you could add event handlers so that when he's hit his damage is set at 0.9, so he's essentially disabled, but will not allow any more damage than this. You could then heal the character and remove the event handler so he's free to be killed later on in the mission. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

norrin 9 Posted August 9, 2007 I've seen that said before but as far as I can tell I haven't been able to kill a unit, even with a head shot, if I set the hit and dammaged event handlers to _this select 0 setdamage 0.
