FallenPaladin 0 Posted February 21, 2002 This mission is fucking hard. Yah, I play in veteran mode, that`s my own fault... You have to free a captured rebel colleague here. There are to many tanks and a Hind starts to hunt you down. I suceeded in getting to the hostage with a damaged BMP, but the way back will be hard. Any ideas? Or is there a way to get a helicopter for myself in this mission?
Gaswell 1 Posted February 21, 2002 Advance cautiously and kill armor. Ditch ride once Hind comes looking. Jog to base. Spread hurt liberally. Free buddy and get him some tools. Now you're home free. Leasurely sneak back to extraction point the way you came. CQB inside the enemy base was pretty fun, but an outright massacre. Aggression is sometimes better than caution, I guess. In any case, if you want the job done, do it on foot. Going armor will only get you dead.

Sadico 1 Posted February 21, 2002 In this mission i abandoned the t-80 near the forest, and ran through it. You will not find enemies there and the hind will go away when you get out of the tank. Then i entered through the main door, killed them all and rescued the guy. Save the mission before entering. You must play rambo to win this mission.
FallenPaladin 0 Posted February 22, 2002 I did it the way you both suggested and succeded in this mission, hurraaaaaay!!! When I reached the enemy base I had 3 minutes left. I entered it from the right behind the houses, killed the guards and blew off the BMP with one Satchel charge. Finished Red Hammer yesterday in veteran mode, the following last mission was, hmm, too easy

interstat 0 Posted February 26, 2002 What I found was to go round the side of the camp, on the right, but watch for mines. When you get attacked by the Hinds use machine gun on tank, get gunner to target them. You'll shoot them down eventually, once you get the hostage leg it back. Forget about the opposition armour. :D
SpaceAlex 0 Posted February 26, 2002 This mssion is hard, yes. I kept my T80. I was a driver and i was driving as fast as i could. I shot down a few tanks, infantry and the hind. There were 2 Mi-17 next to the base. I disembarked from the T80 and saved my friend. I couldn't destroy those two choppers. I was just driving as fast as i could and they didn't hit me with their rockets. They crashed into ich other instead.
interstat 0 Posted February 27, 2002 as long as you use the machine gun against the two helis its quite straight forward. Also going into that camp near the start is a big no no. But I like it, its a challenge. One of the more inventive mission that is in the whole flashpoint experience. I prefer Red hammer to the American campaign. You get into the action a lot quicker. SGT ROCK 1 Posted March 1, 2002 I took one of the Hinds out with a lucky sabot shot but I was way too wasted to complete the mission. I think I will try on foot...
