Trout66 0 Posted July 18, 2007 Hi, I’m new to mission editing, and I’ve just read Rick Rawlings excellent manual and am ready to go. A few questions thought: 1) I’m working on some air assault (helo) missions that I want to fly, and I’d like to populate an area of the map with opfor forces so that flying around has some risks. Should I just create a mission template that contains a bunch of opfor units in various towns with random occurrences, and then merge them with whatever mission I’m making? If these units are far enough from where I’m flying, will they still put a load on my CPU (even though they are not being drawn by the game) 2) What are some good ways to randomize missions so that when I play them, I don’t really know what to expect? (one thing I’ve done, for example, is to set OPFOR movement WPs at great distances from each other so I’ll have no idea when they will be in what location) Thanks Trout

I use it quite a lot. Also have look at the wiki for some info on what different waypoints can be used for. Oh, and probability of presence is useful too. Create 5 men and set it to something like 50% on each unit and you'll never really know what to expect. Basic, but extremely useful.
