dmarkwick 261 Posted June 17, 2007 I'm in the slow process of making new smoke particle textures for use in my proposed smoke addon, and I need to make a p3d file that looks like this. So far my initial tests have given me this result, (set your player to repeat/loop) which is a good indication that I can eventually make a decent smoke animation. (That animation is not what I'll be using, I'll make a new, better one.) It's 48 frames long as it's for a huge, slow volume but needs to loop. I'm thinking of making a custom texture array that is 12x12 images, do I need to make a .p3d file or can I use a .paa file? I can make a .paa but don't know how to compile a .p3d. Also, for the texture as it appears in the first link above, how does the alpha get incorporated? I'm a little confused as the particle parameters you pass in script include colour & alpha info, but the particles texture above has colour info already there. And where does the alpha shape come from?
