Is this a bug/bad install, or am I just an idiot.

In single player, I cannot get my HMV TOW gunners to engage or fire upon the enemy. They just wont do it. They will shout out a target, and will target it only when I tell them to, but thats it. No amount of yelling or pleading (engage, engame at will, fire, open fire, etc) will coerce them to fire on a target. If this is a known bug I can t find it anywhere. Please help as it is laming my SP campaign.

I have same problem, I assumed its a bug with the new TOW guidance rules (they are steerable now, but were homing before 1.07beta) - I guess the AI just aint trained to steer them.... yet

Alright. I did some testing and it seems to be a case of player induced AI performance anxiety. Thats right, the AI works just fine when Im not in the HMV but as soon as I step inside the gunner gets all nervous and refuse to fire the TOW. Step out again and immediately he'll launch another TOW. Other vehicle mounted weapons on the HMV seem to work just fine. Im running 1.06 I think. If someone else can confirm this Ill post it in the bugs forum.

I think this is one of the issues that has been fixed in the upcoming patch. (1.08)
