DaRat 0 Posted June 3, 2007 Hey I was wondering if there is any way to simulate ambient anti-aircraft fire? (Tracers darting over the sky) from a shilka/ vulcan/ whatever Basically I'm making a mission in which you must silence an AA battery and an effect such as that would look pretty awesome as you approach combined with cent's tracers They would need to be firing for long periods/ bursts and not just targetting different objects and firing directly at them if you know what I mean Think Gulf war footage over Baghdad basically I searched extensively here and on OFPEC, but no luck Anyone know how to simulate this kind of effect? Thanks
ck-claw 1 Posted June 3, 2007 Not sure but i know the mapfact guys had invisible targets to shoot at to give that effect? Not sure if that invisible target could be placed in the air/sky for the AA to shoot at? edit:- Looky Here!
DaRat 0 Posted June 3, 2007 I was thinking along those lines, but the target would have to move by itself and be invincible etc Thats really the part that's going to be a bit tricky (ie. I have no idea how to do that :P )
mattxr 9 Posted June 3, 2007 Ive got the perfect script. Works awesome for 1 little error that popups lol, But the shilka fires right across the sky in one direction like it was shootung a moving heli/plane.

DaRat 0 Posted June 4, 2007 Very nice indeed, that's pretty much perfect Apart from that they do actually fire in every direction, even at the ground 50m in front of them for prolonged periods Is there any way to make them fire only at certain angles or something? ie. only up in 45 degree arcs? Great work though so far, thanks a bunch
mattxr 9 Posted June 4, 2007 proberly but its a bug that they fire into the sky directly anyways lol.
