Ruckus 0 Posted May 31, 2007 I have a map that I've been working on for a while. It includes 2 support units. A Medical M113 and a ReArm Truck. Several times I've called them for support and they reply "Negitive". Other times they come to me like they should. Anyone have any idea as to why they would repond "Negitive"? I had not called them prior to this so the "Done" command doesn't need to be used. I have tried replying "Done" but that won't get them to come either. I only have 1 waypoint for each support vehical, and that is a "Support" waypoint. Any Ideas?
Taurus 20 Posted June 1, 2007 It may be that the unit can not get to your location. i.e. "pathing"...
Ruckus 0 Posted June 1, 2007 Thanks....I never tested this. I'll try moving to a different location and try again. The thing that is strange is I've called them to one of the locations before.
RangerX3X 0 Posted June 2, 2007 Taking one step to the right or left, front or back changes your location in the game world. A few meters one way or the other can be the difference between an AI pathing problem and responding as they should. It sucks, but that is the game engine. frederf 0 Posted June 26, 2007 I've never ever ever ever had the Support units work as advertised in any multiplayer mission, even the stock BIS ones. It works BRILLIANTLY in single player but the exact same positions/mission in multiplayer is breaks.
Balschoiw 0 Posted June 26, 2007 Just do it the scripted way. Have some dummy gamelogics for fuel, medic, ammo vehicles or units and move the gamelogics somewhat near your position either by radio or action command and use a little script to have the units move to the moved gamelogics once the radio or action is activated. I always did it that way. It seems to work more reliant than embedded support WP.
