4 IN 1 0 Posted May 23, 2007 I had the exact problems aswell.I use a 7950gt PCIe but here comes the weird stuff i had to lower my agp aperture size in the bios to fix the problem. My card has 512MB VRAM and i had to set the agp aperture size to 128MB. Now I use a Mobo with an agp and a pcie port, but i can't tell you why I had to set something for the agp port to run my pcie card perfectly! Â I had the problems with every driver, but now it's gone! Â normally PCIe slot chipset do not support AGP slot, most of the AGP slot on these type of borad is a shared with one of your PCIe slot, since PCIe slot aperture size are completely auto, sometime the AGP slot setting would affect the PCIe and cause some perforemce or GFX problem

(strange) anyway.. if i had those HDR i would definitely NOT play. In other hand i bet you do not have those incredible handle leaks that also destroys your game and fun.. lol there are so many forcking bugs to fix.. @Vilas have you tryed the fix version? and did it solve that problem? Stonewall Jackson 0 Posted May 29, 2007 @sp00d Try turning "Antialiasing" too low. I believe this will solve your problem. Make sure you have it as app controlled in the nvidia control panel. If this does not work then disable it. If this does not work try it with "anisotropic filter" setting, working towards disable. I had the same prob but used these settings and I do not see these wierd poly spikes anymore.(using 7600gs agp 512M) stonewall
hbien 0 Posted June 2, 2007 Just a possibility, but I think these issues can also be caused by the graphics card running out of VRAM. Have you tried turning all settings to "Low/None" and seeing if it still appears? If so, then I suspect the problem is that your graphics card is getting overloaded and corrupted textures. I think I read somewhere that the system that ArmA used, due to porting from console, is streaming data into the graphics card with the possibility of overrunning the buffer. If true, then I can see how turning VSync "on" would help as well since it throttles FPS (if refresh is 60Hz, then refresh must be multiples of 60 or integral fractions, e.g. 30fps). I would think just about anything that can reduce the load on the graphics card (lower settings, VSync on, etc.) might help. Good luck.
