Macker 0 Posted May 13, 2007 OK, first post - so hi everyone. I bought armed assault yesterday after seeing the screenshots, and being a bit of an OFP fan. It absolutely pwned my computer like you wouldn't believe, so I decided it was about time I ordered a new one. I'd been considering it for quite a while to be honest, as I produce music and that requires vast amounts of memory & processing power, but this was the straw that broke the camels back so to say. My new comp specs are; Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2 x 2.4GHz) 2 Gigs of Corsair Ram 250gig SATA II hard drive NVidia 256Mb 8600GTS Graphics card E-MU 1212m Soundcard (craps on all consumer cards like the x-fi range) I hear there are some issues with the 8 series graphics cards? have they been resolved? Anyways - your specs exceed mine.... and im running ArmA quite well! (amd2800xp 1gb) Although i cant put the shading and postproccess on max, but i believe that limitation is my old radeon X800 .... Macker 0 Posted May 13, 2007 So, with these comp specs, will i be able to run it with the graphics on full, or is that still not gonna be enough? It looks like a very demanding game - i've been checking out the screenshots! Also, some of the screenshots look so amazing that I find it damn hard to believe the game actually looks THAT good! Anyway, I guess i'm just used to OFP graphics haha, times have changed. I was considering going for an AMD processor, but had a look at some places that've done comparisons between the amd dual cores and intel core 2 duo's, and the core 2 duo's came out on top every time.
