opteryx 1562 Posted May 10, 2007 Okay, I recently installed OFP again and am running it with the latest patch, however, when I try to run it with FRAPS my FPS seems to drop to exactly 9 or 13 FPS (mostly 9) no matter how high my FPS is, I've managed to tweak my FPS up 120 and still it insists on dropping to 9/13 FPS.. why? I have never had this problem with OFP before, also I am experiencing this with other games (Steel Beasts and T-72: Balkans on Fire), my system specs are : CPU: AMD Athlon 2600 160 gb HDD Seagate 7200 8 mb cache G-force 6600 GT AGP 8x 128 mb 1 gig ram 2700+ DDR So is this related to FRAPS, my PC or the game it self? LoFFeN 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Well Fraps itself is infact a demanding program, when you are recording. Did you record ingame, and If you did, what was your FPS "Record limit" switched to?
opteryx 1562 Posted May 10, 2007 Doesn't matter how I tweak my FRAPS, it will yield the same results no matter what. Also as I've mentioned in the first post, this has never been a problem for me with OFP before, at least not until I reinstalled it that is. PS: Can anyone recommend a less demanding software for recording video of games?
LoFFeN 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Hmm that's strange indeed. Anyway I have only used Fraps, so I can't really recommend any other Recording progz.
