USM-75R.Hspd -XO- 0 Posted May 8, 2007 Hey I just thought I might help some of you who have problems running ArmA. First of all if you have an AGP motherboard I recommend you getting something better like one with 2 PCI Express X16 slots. Also ATI cards... for me... are a thing of the past. They have memory leaks out the ass, ArmA has a lot of problems with them as well. A really strong highly recommended Chemming Server Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811125448 apparently this case has massive air flow and keeps your computer running at really low temps. A good motherboard would be this one... http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131011#spec Basically I'm gonna lay my new computer specs out for you. This will take some money of course... somewhere around 13 to 14 hundred however its worth it and should keep you up and running for about 5 years the motherboard above is a good SLI compatible motherboard... I do believe this is AMD's fastest processor... http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16819103773 and its compatible with the above mentioned motherboard. A good power supply... Thermaltake has never done me wrong... http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817153028 500W Artic Silver 5 compound for heat displacement for you overclock junkies. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835100007 Awesome Gaming RAM from PATRIOT... http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820220144 Western Digital makes hardcore Hardrives very good and they last a very long time... I have an 80GB with an 8MB cache in my old PC and have had it for over 3 years with no problems. This one however is a 250GB Western Digital with a 16MB cache very fast and really reliable. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144701 And last but not least the most expensive item on the list would be the 8800GTX it will run you around 600 bucks but offers superb graphics and runs you around 60FPS under the most extreme conditions in ArmA... Recommend you get two for SLI but arma doesn't recognize SLI yet so you'd be more than better off with one. http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=324624 Enjoy.
