chiefbosn 0 Posted April 22, 2007 Hi everyone, This is completely off topic but i wanted to just bring something to the communities attention. I noticed that the terms "Muah" "oohah" and quit a few other ways of using the ole military expression is being used quite abit here lately, and after having close to two decades in naval service i thought i would share a little history. The expression is "Hoorah" (and i'm sure the spelling is wrong! and it really started with the Marine Corps. It's actually an acronym for "Heard, Understood and Acknowledged" that as time went on got shortened to the now infamous "Hoorah" which really can't be done justice in print. Not a rant or anything, , just a note of history. cb
