Compiling a Campaign

Recommended Posts

I've been playing with DePBO and extracted the Red Hammer campaign. This results in a million directories.

First, I can't seem to make the editor aware of these and second, how the hell does one recompile all this stuff back into a single .PBO again?

With so many FAQs around I can't find one that answers this question.

It may be possible that you are not putting the island extension on the folder you put the mission files in. Here they are for you just in case you aren't....

.eden = Everon

.abel = Malden

.cain = Kolgujev

.intro = Desert Island

Also, the missions may be encrypted. Although, i have heard that the Red Hammer campaign was not encrypted. I have not DePBO'd these yet, so i am not sure. If they are, you will need to un-pack them with Mission-Unpack. You can get this at OFPEC in the downloads section. Although, at the moment, the downloads section is down since we recently re-arranged a few things. But it will be up VERY soon. So when it comes back, you can get it there.

And to put them back in .PBO you can get StuffPBO to put them back, this is also atOFPEC. OR you could just "Extract to Single Player Mission" through the editor to make a .pbo Hope that helps man

The missions of Red hammer will be seperately located in folders with the missionname.Abel, or *.Eden or *.Cain.

Copy these folders (complete with what evers inside) to your operationflashpoint/user/username/missions folder, you should be able to access them in the editor.

To re complie missions, in the editor simply click on save, and select 'to single player missions' or multiplayer missions.

If you want to compile addons or other files into a pbo file, go to the place where you got depbo, there should be a sister program called stuffpbo.

Edit: Whoops, didn't see your post pins biggrin.gif

Thanks Pins and Intruder...

Sorry to seem dense, but I'm still not clear on this process. However, your messages have given me a better idea of how all this stuff fits together. It's just that nowhere seems to have the A through Z of the process... You might get a few steps here, and a few there, but I've been having trouble figuring out the whole story.

Still, you've both helped... Thank you.
