game freeze

hi all im new to this site and arma.when i join multiplayer game it just freeze my pc and have to reboot.when i join game with in 1/2 hour it freeze again and got to do a reboot again,any one know why please thanks,i down loaded 1.5 version.i use 1gig of ram / navidia geforce 7900gt 256mb.turned fire wall off and still the same.thanks pete

i've been having this same issue, but seems to be at random times. the worst part for me is after i reboot my hard drive boot sector gets messed up so i have to use my backup boot sector to recover from the error and be able to get back into windows.

Can both of you describe in detail when in a multiplayer session the problem occurs.

Having the Exact same problem when joining MP,it will either freeze on the "wait for host" screen or it will manage to connect to a server then freeze when "recieving" data,all drivers etc etc are new and work in every other mode of the game,Editor/Campaign/Missions.Any clues as to fix the problem would be most appriciated..

What servers have you tried?

What MP missions do you experience this with?

I seem to remember someone having a similar problem to the one you describe. I will try look up their solution.

Thanks very much for the fast response,im using the UK 505 games patched up to 1.05 i think it was,when trying to join Evolution mission on the SES server and a few others,i was able to play on a server last night but today i just keep freezing up,ive disabled firewall etc,and tried cleaning out the MPmissions Cache but still with no joy

I managed to get it working,all i needed to do was turn my modem off for a few miniutes and all works fine now,to all those who tried to help its very much appriciated,thanks.

hi monk im useing a bt hub should i do the same switch it off.

Your firewall might be causing this.

When the gamespy server was down, choosing multiplayer mode would freeze my pc for about 30 seconds.

the problem i was recieving was certintly not a firewall/router problem,1 of my team mates simply said to turn my modem off for a few mins then turn it back on again,and it worked.

You may aswell try turning it off for a few miniutes then back on again,wont hurt to try,and if you were experincing the same problem as i was then this "should" fix it.

It can take a long time to join an Evolution mission. Several times, I've given up waiting myself on SuicideSquad and others. It's a feature of the mission that it requires so much work by the server to get a new connecting client singing off the same hymn sheet.

Any time you think the PC has frozen connecting to a server, press escape a couple of times to fairly quickly return to the game browser.

My game is running perfectly well ever since i restarted the modem,no freezing atall,

Try to join the Evolotion servers when they are creating as when you are joining the server you are downloading the mission and also everybodys dead bodys/enemy dead/dead vehicles and will normally take a good 10 mins if not longer to load,pain in the ass i know.

Hello all,

I have found a problem about the random freezing in game that is caused by the new Logitech software and have informed them of this problem. If you have a Quick Cam and have the new software and your game freezes at different times into the game and at different places, try uninstalling the software and drivers for your Logitech QC then restart your PC and let Windows install the default drivers. Do Not install the updates to this from Microsft Update as that update has the same problem.

I still have problems with freezing.It messes up my broadband too (completely).Done every thing you done still the same.Have to sell the game,unless theres another way.If i reset pc 3 times playing in multiplay it messes up my connection completetly.got to disconnect all cables on my bt hub and put in a bt reset code on a run programe.

just started to get the hang off game too.
