getHideFrom

Wiki Page for getHideFrom

To my experience the "getHideFrom" command (ArmA v1.05) does not return the right "hiding position", but always the array [0,2,0].

has anybody experience with using this command ?

Ok, i figured myself a partial solution: putting a statement:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">sleep (.01);

at the beginning of the script gave getHideFrom some variable / non-zero result. However the result still seems to be plain wrong ... returned position is often miles away from the unit, while object returned by findCover is near.

Also i noticed that the builtin routine to get "hiding" position is quite poor: just a few big objects are considered to be "cover" by the ArmA engine ... even in rich environment such as cities
