multiple issues

When playing in triplehead modes there is near-clipping on the outer monitor's peripheries - much of the time it effectively only renders the centre screen properly.

Also, when playing in triplehead mode the editor screen only uses the centre display, while the outer displays have blank white screens.

The game works much better in double triplehead mode (6 screens) but the FOV and aspect ratios aren't adjustable...!

Please BIS, unlock the FOV and aspect ratio controls, and fix the triplehead.

Then there's the mouse lag... aaarghh! Go into a game and just wave the mouse left and right - the mouse is like permanently lagged by at least half a second... this makes it utterly impossible to turn and aim properly.

And no CPU optimisation!!? Multithreading!?

Aside from that it still has all the old OFP problems - destroyed vehicles bounce around even worse than OFP, enemy soldiers run past eachother or waste time standing up, going prone then taking their binoculars out, all the while under fire from other enemies just 5 meters away. Aircraft fly into mountains and radio masts, or just CFIT, convoys don't hold together or stay on the road, waypoint commands don't work properly (ie. "FULL" speedmode doesn't appear to work), NPC pilots fly like old ladies, can't loop or roll, shoot straight or umm, fly.

But it's all a good laugh tho, i still enjoy playin about with it. Just seems a shame it falls short of such potential....

LOL, there isn't a computer alive that can even run this game smoothly on ONE monitor completely maxed... and you want three?

runs fine if i set the triple head aspect on a 32" LCD at 1600x1024, and no clipping. Just very disturbing to try and play it like that.

Ok, how do you get it to triple head? Do you have the matrox box that splits the signal to 3 monitors? If so that must be were the clipping is occuring.

Soon as SLI is fixed ARMA should run fine on 3 32" montors pretty much maxed out and that will be fun...

Can you say in this thread how you got the output to three screens? Can they be widescreen or should they be 4:3?

hmm - depends on how you expect it to work out

FULL speedmode doesn't have anything to do with the

speed of the units to move from one point to another.

FULL speed means that units of a group will move straight

onto their next waypoint right after passing the current

one without having to await their other groupmembers

to get back into formation.

So in summary the speedmode indicates wether you want

a group to move in formation or not. wink_o.gif
