Axelthorpe 0 Posted February 8, 2002 I have a question for anyone responsible for the development of the new patches: Will there be any Russian helicopters in any future patch? Cargo helicopters like Mi-6, Mi-26, a naval helicopter like ka-27, -29 or -32 or maybe an attack helicopters like Mi-28 or Ka-50? When I saw that the Chinook was going to be released for flashpoint and another one was on the way I automatically assumed it was a Russian cargo helicopter but no, instead we got the Kiowa, ok I admit I like the chopper but now with all the American ones I miss a real Russian chopper. And not even in Red Hammer were there any Russian helicopters... BORING Â Yeah I got a wish list too: Russian Helicopters (of course) M249 SAW RPK-74 More warships! Care for some vodka Anway the Mi-24 is way cool any since Russian choopers are more all purpose choppers 2 are enough. More can't hurt though. What Russian needs in a new armour unit to rival the M1A1 tanks. Offcourse the T-80 are very good tanks but a new T-90 would be better than a new chopper. What I hate about this board is it's give me this or that....the last board I went to all the time was klingon academy.com or something.....massive amount of new stuff coming out all the time.....when someone had and idea there was actually a chance that it could be made...but it was all about if the modders felt like making it......but these were people out of their house....it wasn't people getting paid to make stuff....that's why they are not going to give you this or that.....they will give you just enough to keep you with the game tell the next thing comes out you pay for...... It is now about 3 weeks since they announced in no uncertain terms, that they would release the modeling tools. The very same ones that they used. The object modeler at the end of February, or there abouts, and the terrain modeler in May/June. This was not a rumour or a "maybe", it was a solid intention of BIS. This is the best news we could have hoped for. People wanted the SDK and this means the same thing to most people. That said, why is everyone whining about missing units or give me this and that when in a few weeks, you can make whatever you want??? After I got the news I have been making polymodels of two aircraft, and I intend to model a shitload of vehicles and anything else I can think of. The A-6 Intruder is in the pipeline. I have made the Grumman Gulfstream III (Colonel Blake insisted or he'd throw my ass into the private ranks again). I have made a Russian cargo plane. I have the Leopard II in the pipeline also. The list is endless. Store up your energy that goes into whining, and use it to study Oxygen when it comes out. Until then, give BIS a break with the demands. Rogue2020 0 Posted February 10, 2002 I want to learn modeling and coding and stuff but I don't even know where to begin.....I started to model a 3D character and it wasn't easy that's for sure........that's why I don't bitch and wine at the developers because I know how hard it is to do what they are doing......I could imagine what I would think spending a shit load of time on something and when it comes out everyone tells you it's a piece of shit.....
