PakoAry 0 Posted March 10, 2007 I've just installed the last version of directX and ati video driver trying to fix it without success. Video is messed up. After loading, it passes the menu selection and starts the mission (1st person). Although I can look around, move and shoot the fps is extremelly low  (can't provide a number but it's very noticeable) - res is down to 800x600 and other video settings are low. then, When I (wiggling) aproach  geometry some random triangles start appearing randomly, textures get messed, image freezes for a while... This is not a high end system: P4 3200 HT, 2G RAM, ATI radeon 9700 pro, XP SP 2 can anyone shed a light here? Thanks té mais Pako PS: OFP/Resistance, BF2, Sturmovik 1946 didn't present problems
PakoAry 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Is this problem unique, perhaps a little puzzling or questions about the demo have a lower priority? it's been around since march 10th. Does the demo sort of enhances the problem with the ATI driver? would the solution be the same as the one regarding other ATI problems: just wait for the new driver? P4 3200 HT, 2G RAM, ATI radeon 9700 pro (7.2 drivers), XP SP
xmongx 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Check the stickies Reverting to catalyst 6.7 will remove the artefacting (random polygons obscuring the view)
PakoAry 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Thanks xmongx. I believe I'll wait for the next cat version. Rolling back may let me play the demo, but I do not want to risk bringing back old issues that I'm not aware of just to try ArmA earlier. I'll wait for the problem free driver. té mais
