Gegala 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Will a system with a P4 3Ghz, 1GMb & 9800PRO suffice to run ARMA & at what level of detail? Thanks
BLSmith2112 0 Posted March 7, 2007 I've got a 4200X2, 2GB Ram, with 7900GTX and can run highest GFX settings with 5000m viewdistance. The 3GHz = good. The 1gb ram = good. Don't have exp. with ATI though. Official Specs: (Arma biki has all this): Minimum specifications * 2 GHz or better Intel or AMD processor, or equivalent of. * 512 MB of memory. * nVidia Geforce FX with 128 MB RAM & Pixel Shader 2.0 or better * ATI Radeon 9500 with 128 MB of RAM & Pixel Shader 2.0 or better * 5 GB of Disk space (or more as needed for downloadable add-ons) * Windows 2000 or Windows XP. * DirectX 9.0c Recommended specifications * 3 GHz or better Intel or AMD processor, or equivalent of. * 1 GB memory * nVidia 6800 or better, with at least 256 MB of onboard RAM. * ATI X800 or better with at least 256 MB of onboard RAM * 5 GB of Disk space(or more as needed for downloadable add-ons) * Windows XP. * DirectX 9.0c I'd say Medium GFX without post processing & 4000-4500m viewdistance for you. I turned my GFX down from very high to medium and got a preformance boost by 20fps. I'm probably going to keep it this way, as the difference (to me anyway) is small. MisterXY 0 Posted March 7, 2007 AMD 4800+ and a Geforce 7800GS+ with 512DDR RAM here. The game runs more or less with 30FPS with a 1280 to 1204 resolution, view distance 1500m and all settings to very low, except Anti-Aliasing and Blood. Okay, Objects, and Object Textures are now on low, without frame drop. http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/3543/52800705lv5.jpg But it's still fun to play.
