TankBusterTimmy 0 Posted March 2, 2007 Hi, I bought ArmA today and installed it, I then proceeded to run it and this error happens. Prompting me to go to this webpage for more info. I've removed all DVD/CD burning software and reinstalled several times but to no avail. Can anyone help? Cheers, Timmy.
Chrisuk27 0 Posted March 2, 2007 follow their uninstall instructions plus clear out anything it may have left in your registry / startup etc. That might help.
TankBusterTimmy 0 Posted March 2, 2007 I've cleaned any suspicious registry entries that could be to do with it, but the thing is, i havnt seen 'EZ-Play' anywhere let alone use it, I have no idea what it is
anc 0 Posted March 2, 2007 Unfortunately i'm having the same problem. I do have the 505 version. Does anyone really know whats causing this?
SlurrpyChillyFries 0 Posted March 2, 2007 make sure you do not have daemon tools uninstalled. i had an issue with a different game until i uninstalled this. i really wish we didnt have to use these stupid copy protection tools. am i way off base, but it seems that you should be able to buy a version distributed via the internet that requires you to register your key with bis. maybe im missing a big point but if you keep track of keys issued, and prevent 2 of the same key from playing at the same time, i dont understand the delima. im really pointing towards a joint ops type scheme. do really care if the single player game has been compromised? its all about multiplayer anyways. sorry for the rant but after i install starforce on my windows machine, it has not been the same since, it has create stablility issues and after the box has been running for more than 24 hours, i have to reboot the machine because it will prevent me from playing any game i have, even america's army. had no problem for a year until i installed starforce...aka starf*cker. TankBusterTimmy 0 Posted March 2, 2007 make sure you do not have daemon tools uninstalled. What do you mean by daemon tools? Would BF2 daemon (used for admining a server) count?
anc 0 Posted March 2, 2007 I sent a PM to shadow. heres hes answer: "That message only appears if there is an image-reading tool present in the system memory, such as Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% etc. Unmount any image loaded in those and close the application will cure that. Uninstalling the app without first unmounting any image loaded will not help. Thats all I can say about that." I uninstalled the daemon tools, and it worked.
