Duffers 0 Posted February 26, 2007 Despite using cpbo, Eliteness and Pbopatcher, I cannot get any PBO files to extract. Obviously this is distressing when there are so many great mods out there. Eliteness actually just fails to run while Pbopatcher will point to a Pbo but when asked to unpack, it simply does nothing. Cpbo runs and is set up to have Pbo files associated but I get no EXTRACT option when I right click on a Pbo. I've even tried OPEN WITH... and pointed the file I want to extract to the cpbo exe but just get a quick Dos screen for 1/2 a second and no joy. When Cpbo is first run though and the pbo association is allowed, I get the parameter: C:/Programfiles...etc...Default PBO icon already exists, not overwritten. I must be missing something (aside from my marbles). Someone please jog a failing mind. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

deanosbeano 0 Posted February 26, 2007 there seems to be a conflict/struggle when you have tried one od the eliteness and then cpbo or vice versa. there is a tip from surpher that worked for him and having tried it ,me too.. uninstall all of the pbo progs. then Quote[/b] ]I had the same problem, clearing the previous association to the *.pbo extension (Tools/Folder Options/File Types) before installing cpbo fixed it for me. Duffers 0 Posted February 26, 2007 Too late... I used Pbox.exe from Imutep's link (many thanks) - great programme and works.  Had to download a few .DLLs but extracts fine. I think I'll still try yours as well though Deano - just for my own sanity  Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
