I was just wondering if, for example, you were to engage a squad, and you kill there officer, does there squad become less organised? If not i was wondering if that would be an idea for the suggesgion list, what do you guys think (unless its already a feature, then theres nothing to discuss hehe) . CoolSprog. Infam0us 10 Posted February 25, 2007 I'm not sure, they just go to the next highest rank squad member. Not sure if a Officer is actually better at leading a squad than say a Pilot when it comes to AI, is it actually any difference besides weapons and uniforms? Luciano 0 Posted February 26, 2007 This only works if you script it. If you try it in the editor, its hard to notice anything.
fasad 1 Posted February 26, 2007 The loss of the leader will reduce the groups morale, which will make them more likely to run away and enemy less likely to flee. Afaik their tactical effectiveness remains the same once another AI has taken command of the group (it may take up to ~20 seconds before this happens, during which time no group orders are given). The officer also generally has a higher skill rating which equates to better ability to spot, identify and shoot enemies, and normally carries the groups NV goggles and binocs. Please use topic titles that are relevant to the post, so that others may search for already answered questions rather than asking them over and over again.
