Drozdov 0 Posted March 1, 2007 As a couple of people have mentioned, my only problem with the flight controls is using auto-hover. Whenever I stop and use the auto-hover it does random sideways movements without me pressing anything - if I try and correct them it just does even more drastic side movements. I have the Joystic X-axis mapped to left/right turn, is it possible to correct that with banking or is it just random auto-hovering madness that needs a patch to fix? As it is, it means it's almost impossible to land on a specific location and dangerous to try landing next to trees or buildings.
kenjara 0 Posted March 1, 2007 I think its a bug that needs fixing happends to me all the time and I cant do anything to straighten it. So I dont use auto hover at the moment. Your best bet at the moment is to try and fly without it. Thats what I did and you will become and even better pilot.
jasono 0 Posted March 1, 2007 My joystick made my aircraft move somewhere rapid and wasn't that good for flying. Therefore, i've got an XML setup with L plate as its logo and i'm now using the mouse and keyboard. I'm using 1.02.
quiet_man 8 Posted March 1, 2007 I've tried it again and I'm getting used to it. I haven't seen any of the problems described for a while now, and I managed to do the campaign mission. Since then I've tried all the aircraft except the Ka-50, and the AH-1 is by far the hardest to fly. I'll just have to put a lot of practise in I suppose. what realy improved flying for me was to use disconnected rudder and roll controls. I think the default controls are the combined. Zadok13 0 Posted March 1, 2007 How do I disconnect rudder/roll controls? Yhat's the main reason I'm struggling but I thought it was part of the new 'flight model'...
