TheNotorious 0 Posted February 17, 2007 everytime i try to start it it pass the cd check.. i get a black screen then i get a windows saying that arma.exe ebcounter a problem and need to close my system amd x3 4600+ 3gig of ram GF 7950 with driver 11.65 SB live audigy Vista business edition and when going ib event viewer i get this message Faulting application arma.exe, version 1.4.0.5121, time stamp 0x45b244a0, faulting module arma.exe, version 1.4.0.5121, time stamp 0x45b244a0, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00410073, process id 0xb84, application start time 0x01c7523dd6284189. desertfox 2 Posted February 17, 2007 Game is meant for WinXP. All drivers for the hardware under Vista are brand new as well. Vista ships with DirectX 10, which is not downward-compatible on top of that. I recommend a dual boot setup with XP/Vista for now. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Vista ships with DirectX 10, which is not downward-compatible on top of that. I recommend a dual boot setup with XP/Vista for now. Vista supports directx9 fine. Try run the game as administrator. i tried with no luck....i have also updated the OpenAl driver and still no go i tried on a second computer that have only an onboard sound card and the game start..... Mr_Tea 0 Posted February 18, 2007 There are no others than beta drivers out from creative right now. I had to reactivate my onboard AC97 sound, because every game crashed with my Audigy2 and the fucking beta drivers. Now with my onboard AC97 crap, the sound in Arma is lousy.
