Game is meant for WinXP.

All drivers for the hardware under Vista are brand new as well.

Vista ships with DirectX 10, which is not downward-compatible on top of that.

I recommend a dual boot setup with XP/Vista for now.

Vista supports directx9 fine.

I am using vista and have Audigy onboard sound. Works like a charm.

Try run the game as administrator.

There are no others than beta drivers out from creative right now.

I had to reactivate my onboard AC97 sound, because every game crashed with my Audigy2 and the fucking beta drivers.

Now with my onboard AC97 crap, the sound in Arma is lousy.

I hope creative will manage to release working Vista drivers soon.

Good to have still an working Win2K Prof installation. confused_o.gif
