GAU-8

CRASH, and gets "progressive" the more i play

Recommended Posts

downloaded the game a few months ago from morphicon

installed fine, played fine, multiplayer fine.

-a few weeks ago it started to crash when i started to open up the multiplayer tab.

-last week it started to crash on multiplayer, AND on the EDITOR tab.NOOOOO

-just today its now crashing at start-up!

my rig had no problems playing the game originally, and i dont make changes or add-ons unless i absolutely want to have it in game, or in computer.

i HAVE NOT made any changes to the computer OR the game. i dont jack with my computer when it runs fine or with settings i like. (other than current german patch, and 6ths english patch)

im sure i could just re-download it again. but due to other previous "download option" for games that i cant download again (due to thier wonky system (boontybox).. im afraid i'll have the same thing here.

LEGIT DOWNLOAD, legit mods.

possible solutions?

AMD 64 4000+

bfg tech 6800 oc vid card

2 gig pc 3200 ram (mushkin)

gigabyte k8ns mobo

XP o.s. up to date

direct x 9.c

if you didnt change your system, didnt install any drivers/programs, then it might be your oc ed gf 6800 which maybe starts getting kaput

its a "stock" over clock from BFG.....but after i unlock the card i should be able to acess it.

tried finding a way to get a fresh download from morphicon, for some dumb ass reason i dont have the link for my 2 other downloads..? im sure it wont be aproblem as i can contact morphicon for a new link.

im getting a NEW crash after i reformatted. its telling me im missing "D3DX9XXXXX" something, and says maybe if i re-install it will work.

but i dont have the comp completely updated with every microsoft crap yet.... i'll see later tonight.

the d2dx9 error is due to directx9

in this case id suggest you install the dx version that comes with the arma dvd, but since you dl it, i can only hint to install the most recent dx 9 version
