NVReaper 0 Posted February 4, 2002 This Operation flashpoint addon based in East timor is going to offend alot of people. Both in Australia, East timor, and indonesia. Red Hammer was based in a fictional setting, why now do we suddenly have a addon based in East timor of all places. If you live in the region and witnessed the stuff how are you going to be able to enjoy a game based on it? Its the equivalent to basing a game on the world trade center bombing. BIS needs to stick to fictional conflicts on fictional islands. This is not off topic btw. It is talking about operation flashpoint, and its new addon Independance Lost. It is in no way off topic. Placebo 29 Posted February 4, 2002 There is an active thread about this in OT, whether or not you disagree with the thread being in OT the plain and simple fact is 1. for now it's there, 2. as many people will see it in OT as they will in GD. I understand your concerns, but please do not try to aggravate things by causing a conflict on the forums, I respect your opinion to be concerned about IL, please respect mine about what should be posted and where.
