kerosene 0 Posted March 6, 2007 I finished "The Road" by Cormac McCArthy not long ago, its one of the darkest things I've ever read. It's set after a nuclear war and is about a man and his son whose supposed to be about 10 trying to travel South across the U.S because its getting colder in the North. It's good because Cormac McCArthy is a "serious" authour and most post-apolyptic stuff is badly written sci-fi. And I just finished "Globablization and its Discontents" by Joseph Stiglitz for uni, it was a good read though, its mostly about the IMF.
BlackScorpion 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Jeff Rovin - Tom Clancy's Op Center: Line of Control at the moment. It's about the Pakistani-Indian Kashmir area, a terrorist act and an US team sent in to save both countries from some serious frying... quite good stuff, based on Clancy's idea so it almost doesn't differ from his books.
