Somerville 0 Posted January 14, 2007 Okay, ArmA's fantastic - fact. I have a problem, though. Basically, my friend and I are working on a new mission for ArmA (it is roleplaying, but y'know, so what). Basically, he sends me a mission, and it won't open in the editor or de-pbo because it's read only... He wants to know how to make his missions not read only, so we can progress with the making of this mission. All help appreciated =]
Guest Ti0n3r Posted January 14, 2007 Right click the mission file and un-check the 'read only' field (I think).

Scillion 0 Posted January 15, 2007 You need a program to de-pbo it as you say. But hey, skip that and have him send you the mission. The mission that can be edited is in My documents/ArmA Other Profiles/His character name/Missions(or MPmissions)/mission name he needs to zip up all these files (may only be one) and send that to you. mattxr 9 Posted January 18, 2007 Do you have.. In the Editor Place where all missions go MissionNameFolder/Folder/Missions.sqs Becuase i get an read only error when i did that once or is it just normal like MissionNameFolder/Mission.sqs
Scillion 0 Posted January 18, 2007 Right Click open with notepad. If it doesn't open then Instead get the friend to send you a copy of the file in txt form where he opens it with notepad and saves it as text. Then you can just rename the txt file sqs. If he can't open it then there is your problem. Otherwise it's you. So here it is. Go to: C:\Documents and Settings\Nameofyourscreen\My Documents\ArmA Other Profiles\Yourcharactername\missions Now create a folder named: Something.Sara (for the whole island) Or create a folder named: Something.Intro (for the tiny island) Now put the mission.sqs file in it.
