drakrochma 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Hi I allready posted this, but I was told to post it here, so, here is my question: I want to make a Game and I am looking for an engine. It will be a post-nuclear RPG with some strategy. You have to find a lot of friends and build your own base with research, conquer areas to get mere recources and then expand to build a new gouverment. Atm I am looking for the engine. So my question: Can this engine handle Charakters with about 30 atributes and can i place new buildings or so while the player is in the area? And at least, how much is the engine? I think that the engine can handle it, the rpg system would need scripting and the amount of work will depend on what kind of attributes you want to create (if you want to introduce staminia and/or precision, it would be difficult if not impossible, if you want to introduce things like reputation, it would be easier) and how you will perfom actions (talking, buying, sleeping etc). wipman 1 Posted December 26, 2006 Hi, i think that the ArmA engine couldn't manage or serve to do a post nuclear RPG due to the nature of the ArmA and it's limits; you can't do a GURPS based play system, you couldn't even do a much less complex RPG like the Vampire, Werewolf, Ciberpunk or the Shadow Run. Let aside things like The Call of Cthulhu and we don't gonna even name the Lord Master because just the idea... makes me laught. But will be pimp to have a post nuclear island and a number of addons of good quality based on some of those RPG's, the Ciberpunk have good weapons and vehicles books with lot of usefull info and a kind of blue prints that will perfectly serve for do addons; i think.
