maxqubit 1 Posted December 20, 2006 Tried search but no luck, but i could have missed something. Sometimes when i place a waypoint and want to move it later on, i can't move it anymore. I CAN select it but it seems to be fixed, like in a house or something. How can i move this waypoint?
rwillis 0 Posted December 20, 2006 I had the same problem, not sure if it's a bug but it looked like it was getting stuck in a house for me. Â To fix it I just deleted it and highlighted the waypoint sequence it was in before, then made a new waypoint, then give it the wp number it had before
Millenium7 0 Posted December 20, 2006 this happens when you place a waypoint directly on an object or unit and is not a bug. Though I would prefer if you could get to the unit underneath. Currently you have to delete the waypoint to alter any properties of the unit or object

Currently you have to delete the waypoint to alter any properties of the unit or object If you place a waypoint on top of a unit a you can't access the unit's properties by double clicking on it. Instead of it you access the waypoint's properties. But you can double click on the waypoint (and this way on the unit) while holding 'shift' key and then you should be able to open the unit's properties. I actually didn't check it in ArmA but it was this way in OFP and I don't think it was changed.

Currently you have to delete the waypoint to alter any properties of the unit or object thx. In some (most?) cases it makes sense. Just tested some, like: Make a humvee on the move Make a soldier with a get-in waypoint on the humvee The soldier will get in the humvee even it is not in the place where the humvee was initially put. But if you give the soldier a move-to waypoint on the humvee it will NOT follow the humvee everywhere (as you perhaps might expect). For this you need the join waypoint (or join and lead waypoint) Cool stuff, but trial and error to find out:)
