internet configuration settings in arma

so i am behind a router, with 2mbit dsl and in all arma mp games i get quite a bad ping and desync.

battlefield and other games used to give me fast pings of 30-90.

now i have read something about routers and gaming and maybe arma auto-configures itself for lan settings, since it only finds the 100mbit network card, therefore overloading my connections.

is there a way to cap the bandwidth? i looked in arma cfg and armaprofile, but nowhere i find some settings to adjust network settings. did i miss something? is it done with a startup parameter?
