BLSmith2112 0 Posted November 26, 2006 I upgraded my PC from a 6800GT AGP card, to a 7900GTX card. Before, the game worked pefectly. I've had the game 5 years and within that time I've had three video cards, and never had any problems. Now with this 7900GTX my preformance is horrific. I can load to the main menu (takes 5+ minutes with NO mods loaded). Once loaded, if I simply open an empty map (even desert island) and place a simple soldier on the terrain and hit preview. It will crash OFP and say this on desktop: I have upgraded my drivers yes, infact I've even reverted to older drivers (Also the same drivers that were previously on my PC with my older video card). My Specs: Specs: Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester 2.2GHz Socket 939 Video: 7900GTX RAM: GeIL Value 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Mobo: ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 Socket 939 ULi M1695 ATX AMD HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 320GB Monitor: BenQ FP93GX Black 19" 2ms LCD Power: FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX400-PN, RoHS, 12cm FAN, version 2.0, 2 SATA, 20+ 4 pin, PCI Express, 400W ====================== I've been deprived from OFP for days, I need my fix

BraTTy 0 Posted November 26, 2006 Coincidence I have same exact cpu and mb as you. I am still using the AGP slot for my X800pro tho. You always been using the PCI version of video cards? Remembering from the reviews this may be compatibility issue with mb? Maybe check www.asrock.com All your games run like this? You update bios, raise voltage video slot, etc...? BLSmith2112 0 Posted November 26, 2006 Quote[/b] ]are you using -nomap ? Yes. Quote[/b] ]You always been using the PCI version of video cards? No, first PCI based Vid Card I've ever had. I wento to asrock.com, downloaded all latest drivers for their MB. No luck. Quote[/b] ]All your games run like this? This has played little to no effect in other games (preformance wise). However, more games are prone to crashing to desktop now.
