Silverguy82 0 Posted November 21, 2006 I have just seen the pictures of the current sniper rifles that will be used for Armed Assault. The SR-25 (SPR also known as) is well made. But I'am extremely disapointed at the main sniper rifles and the lack of attention to detail of the weapon systems. The SVD Dragunov's magazine is not to scale and the external cheekpiece (which makes the rifle distinct) is not on the gun. For the M-24 SWS the Emergency Front Sight is missing. [mg]http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c1/silverguy82/crap2.jpg[/img]>100kb I believe what the AA team should have done was look at Tale Of War Mod's (TOW) M-24 pack to get a good idea of what the M-24 looks like, that was almost 100% accurate in the detail. For the SVD, I believe they should have looked at the ICP Weapon pack or RHS's weapons pack. I see the M21 is out, I'am a little sad at that, I believe this would have been useful to have for the Resistance forces that will be used. In any case...I'am not impressed overall with the sniper weapon systems for Armed Assualt, I believe they should have payed more attention to detail of the rifles and how they really look. But good thing are allowing OFP addons to be imported into the game, I will for sure not use those guns and put in one's that are more accurate and done right. Messiah 2 Posted November 21, 2006 this deserved a thread? why not have emailed placebo about this 'problem' so he could pass it on to the developers? Thats what I did for some of the more glaring issues in the early screenshots. You could also have just as well as posted in these two other threads: Thread 1 Thread 2 this way you get a more official reply and perhaps a thank you, rather than have 500 arm chair experts start discussing the finer aspects of the M24 and why so and so a rifle would have been better/more accurate.
