fire 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Just reinstalled my OFP. Now I'm trying to fly the Helicopters with my Joystick (MS Sidewinder) and I mapped the rudder-controls to two buttons on the stick. But the rudder won't work. In the Config-Menu i can see that rudder is controlled by a z-axis, but I don't have a z-axis on my Joystick. Is there any way to delete the z-axis in options so that the buttons will work?
Guest RKSL-Rock Posted September 20, 2006 OFP uses the DX8 joystick mapping so it more likely to be the windows joystick control panel than OFP. If it works in something other than OFP go into Options > Controls find the rudder key mapping and select it you should be able to bind your Zaxis to the Rudder control... fire 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Well, as I wrote I have NO z-axis on my joystick. I want to use the buttons for rudder, but they don't work because in options the rudder is mapped to the z-axis (which i don't have) and I can't delete the mapping.
Metal Heart 0 Posted September 20, 2006 ofp/users/<player name>/UserInfo.cfg Change this stuff: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">keyAxisTurn[]={196608}; keyAxisDive[]={196609}; keyAxisRudder[]={196613}; keyAxisThrust[]={196610,196614}; to keyAxisThrust[]={}; etc... I don't think that it will solve the problem though, the handling changes somewhat when flying with a stick (manual throttle instead of hold altitude).
