sometime problems connecting to multiplayer

Recommended Posts

when connecting on a multiplayer game from gamespy, it sometimes (about 40 % sad.gif ) happens that I end up in intro screen (without getting an error message like wrong version or session lost or sth).

I know there are plenty of people who experience the same problem, but I am not aware of other games doing that.

ok ok, dont flame me and tell me to connect via a.s.e. or entering a direct ip, gamespy is still a good option for finding a decent game.

is gamespy causing these problems, and if so what can be done to minimize them ?

I don't use GS so forgive me if I'm talking out of my "arse" here but is there a chance the games you're trying to connect to on the times it doesn't work are running a different version of Opf to you?

no, this would give a wrong version error.

most of the times a second try works (when the host came back to staging room looking for us)

hi... should i say before 1.42 we diddnt have this problem !!!!

i describe the problem with subject "no connect with 128 kb/sec to a dedicated server" in an other thread , maybe it helps to post it again here !

we still have the same trouble with a dedicated server.

User wants to connect and got 2 or 3 sometimes 5 try´s to get not the seesion lost error.....then its works ......

if connection is slower than dual-isdn (128kb/sec) the cannot connect anyway. always seesion lost error......

if connection is dsl or greater only sometimes got the session lost error and only on first or second try ......

HELP PLEASE our dedicated could not be a clan train server when no isdn user can connect smile.gif
