sickboy 13 Posted June 14, 2006 Ok here we go... I hope I can formulate this clear enough Before I start; Of coarse I am using the -nomap parameter ;-) I am wondering... When I am using a dedicated server and connect with my clients... when the mission starts, all needed addons get loaded into memory (memory build up on the dedicated server, aswell as on the clients). So far, so good. When I exit the mission and choose another mission, for instance on another island, with other addons... I see that the server clears its memory for some part and starts loading the other island/other addons, also so far so good... Now the problem is, the memory in the client does not get cleared, so the other Island and addons are loaded on top of what is already in memory... hence getting a buildup nearly each mission/island change. I was wondering if this behaviour is by design (normal), or that I have a leak or other kind of problem in the clients(/scripts). I am mainly using ECP, and many other mods. All I am seeking is the answer if it's normal that the Server Nicely cleans up his memory before loading up another mission/island, while the client does not. If it is not normal I guess I got some debugging to do Thanks for any Insights!
