Recommended Posts

I have the new official ofp flag pack, and on my previous mission I had the pack right in the mission itself, so people didnt have to download it - thing is I cant remember how I put it in there, can anyone tell me plz, do I put in the mission folder a folder named Addons and put in there or just put the pbo file right in the mission folder?

IIRC the ?new? official flag pack was included in a patch longtime ago, so everyone should have got it by now.

Thanks, I wasnt sure if it was included in a the ofp versions, I couldnt find it in my addons so it seemed I didnt have it and im running 1.96, therefore figured others may not have it as well...

My only other question if I do keep the flag pack in the mission folder is should the path for setflagtexture be different than /Flags/Flagname.jpg if im acessing the flags from within the mission folder rather than the addon folder?

Unless you guys all agree everyone has it, then I wont put the flag pack in there. Just dont want to waste peeps time having to get an addon thats so small in size, when there will be like 4 addons needed for the mission as it is.

Flags\Flagname.jpg

should work when flags is a subfolder. Don't know if it will work like this with a sub .pbo

You could also depbo the flag addon, copy only the flags you need into your mission folder, and set them just by filenames.

Ok. Thanks. When the time comes I can just remove my flags from my addons and see if it will work right out of the mission folder (hadnt thought of that lol doh!wink_o.gif

Pretty sure the sub folder they are in works because I did have the entire pack in my other mission, just couldnt remember the name of folder needed (addons, flags).

Thanks again for the help wink_o.gif

Be careful with these backslashes, you definitely don't need a leading one for accessing subfolders in the mission directory.

\Flags\flagname.jpg should access a pbo named flags in the games addon folder.

Gotcha, thanks. I removed the flags from my addons and ran the mission with the flags PBO right in the mission folder, the international flag showed up!(as well as the international flag pole). So it works.

I did use the standard "\Flags\Flagname.jpg" with the initial backslash and it still apparently accessed the flags within the mission.

Thanks for the help all wink_o.gif
