conkerconquer 0 Posted April 17, 2006 I'm making a campaign based on the AVP universe.It's based in the present day but Xeno-morphs(Aliens) have landed in a city and have taken over most of it.The mayor is trying to evacuate as many civilians as he can.That's where you come in,you take control of a predator assasin who has been sent to assassinate the general in control of ground operations.The campaign will be based around the fight for control of the city as you are stuck in the middle of it. I've made three missions so far complete with intros and outros.The first mission however has you as a civilian escaping the alien onslaught.The thing I'm really trying to achieve is an eery atmosphere.I've got it all planned up to mission five which be when the aliens have full control of the city and the humans will be trying to take it back.So any ideas for missions after mission five are welcome. j w 0 Posted April 19, 2006 Use rain, ambient sounds, cutscenes where the guy you are hear something and turn around quickly, doesn't see anything, then turn around back, breathing the alien's nose, start running and loses (in some miracular way ) the alien. conkerconquer 0 Posted April 20, 2006 Is there a way to put you're own music into OFP?If so that would help greatly.The intro's are intresting,trying to make them scary in an open enviroment isn't easy.When this gets released you'll love mission 3(not including the prologue level)THATS when it switches to night.Superb! IceFLYER 0 Posted April 20, 2006 For a really spooky effect..... take the pred unit and group him with a game logic.... make sure the unit is lowest rank, becasue this will make the game logic the leader of the group ...now, start making waypoints, more specifically AND waypoints....this will make the unit jump from spot to spot, or telelport from spot to spot ....to include MOVE waypoints etc just delete the game logic unit from the group and continue adding waypoints (this time you will get to slect all the unit waypoints types rather than just the game logic waypoint types) ...really spooky..like a phase shift.... experiment with using triggers to spark the effect when you want it to...later ---IceFLYER Â Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

conkerconquer 0 Posted May 8, 2006 The map I'm using is SGH Mogadishu,go to OfP.Info if you want it,also some other addons you might want are predator and aliens packs which can both be found on ofp.info aswell.Also the terminator aerial hunter you might want from baaron.I'll see if I can get you his site. conkerconquer 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Sorry guy's but this campaign is doing my head in.The creep factor isn't working and I need better music.Also my aliens aren't following their waypoints which is stopping proggress.Until I sort these problems the campaign is at a standstill.
