spd010273 0 Posted April 13, 2006 both 1.46 and 1.96 freeze randomly during gameplay, usually 5 mins into a game. Here are specs: AMD 2500+ Epox 8rda3+ (NForce 2 Chipset) 2x256MB PC3500 Geforce 4 Ti4600 The game runs awsome on my dell w/ a P4 in it, but this problem is plaguing me on this comp. I have tried the VIA chipset fix, and I'm about to try no AGP8x.
spd010273 0 Posted April 13, 2006 ok, now the game played fine, 5 mins, then froze temporarily, started playing norm again, then froze again, crashed to desktop with CreateIndexBuffer failed 8876086a - out of memory? I also reduced the AGP Arpeture to 64MB
spd010273 0 Posted April 13, 2006 well, I played around with BIOS settings. I set AGP spread spectrum to .5 and now the game sort of works. I played for about 30 mins, then the game freezes for an extended period of time, then plays normal. eventually, the game froze, audio cut out, then it crashed to desktop, this time no error message. ade_mcc 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Does this happen to other games / applications or just OFP? A shot in the dark is that your system is overheating. Have you checked your cpu temperatures etc? Are all of your fans working? Have you cleaned the dust out of the computer? Edit: im a plonker - 'CreateIndexBuffer failed 8876086a - out of memory' Linky or Linky 2 Lesson learnt, search the forum and edit posts.
spd010273 0 Posted April 13, 2006 system temp is fine, and this only happens in OFP. Neither of those links helped. The only thing that has helped prolong my play time is FSB and AGP speread spectrums. Play 30mins, crash, reboot, play 30mins, crash, reboot. u get the idea
