Nightjay0044 1 Posted March 31, 2006 Alright, I'm in the need of a step by step process of how to create your own images from scratch, and starting off with taking pictures from inside the game while playing then creating boarders for the pictures then eventually placing them in the overview or breifings of the mission. Here's what I have for my PC to edit and create pictures. The only tools that I have are.... -Paint -Word Pad That's it.I don't really have anything to edit with that's good. Being as though I probably need to get a new tool, can someone direct me on where to get a new one that is reliable, I just need something that I can take photos then edit the size and everything and change to JPG or BMP format to put inside the briefings or overviews. Any guidence or help would be appreciated, thanks.
Metal Heart 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Paint and notepad are enough. 1. take screen shot to clipboard by pressing the printscreen key 2. paste to paint, trim and scale, press control+e to adjust image size to 256x128 (other combinations of power of twos might also work, i dunno, like 256x512 or 64x64 etc), scale selection again to fit new size nicely, save as jpg to mission directory. 3. create briefing.html to mission dir using the one from ofp\templates\1-6_C_Cooperative.Abel\ as a template 4. add image to briefing with tag <img src="brief.jpg" width="200" height="100"> 5. tell me if it worked
Nightjay0044 1 Posted April 1, 2006 Metal heart, I did as you sad. Here's what I did. >went to OFP editor, placed on soldier. Previed the mission, took a photo of the soldier in-game with the (printscreen button). >minimized OFP went to paint pasted the photo in paint. Changed the attributes to one of your previous widths and hights in pixels. I don't know if the picture has to be centered or what but it changes the size but it totally cuts out the soldier and only puts the changed size of the image in the upper left hand corner of the screen so the whole rest of the soldier is cut out and it's just a blue sky. I don't know if I did anything wrong. Also I would like to make and do the best I can of making images like BIS does in their official Single player missions. how they have such nice borders and clear pictures no matter what time of day. So I don't know if you can make those nice of images with paint or make borders with paint. But that's what I would like to start doing. Thanks.
