reaper 0 Posted January 21, 2002 I was playing a mission yesterday, and all of the sudden my men ran past me and kept running. I ordered them to return to formation, and the radio message that played was "all follow 2." They proceded to run toward the enemy and get slaughtered. This has never happened to until I installed v1.42.
Dr Jekyll 0 Posted January 21, 2002 Maybe they went AWOL on you? It's most likely a bug or something. I encountered something similar a while ago (with the 1.4 patch), just restart and it should be all fine.

This has kind of happened to me too, but during MP. I marked everyone in my group and pressed 1,1 for Return to formation. But it said "All, follow 2". I repeated the action several times, but it kept saying "All, follow 2".
John C Flett 0 Posted January 21, 2002 This isn't a new bug. I think its caused by certain 'go to' commands, usually if you've been in a vehicle. For some reason the game decides you are occupied with something else and not in command. I find it can be cleared by issuing a 'done' report from the radio menu. You're men should then join up on you again.

FetishFool 0 Posted January 21, 2002 It happens when: 1) You're in a tank, not not as commander. 2) Your command box is highlighting a person while you press 1,1.
amos m 0 Posted January 21, 2002 It happens on the vulcan mission too. So that means it's been happening since at least 1.1. I read somewhere that you can stop it from happening by reporting "done" from the command menu, but I don't have my copy at the moment to be able to test this for myself.
