The second time I cleaned all the three discs with a sunglass wipecloth (or whatever it's called) but even so I get this message trying to update... Reinstall game from original CD disc and try again. EDIT: Used the wrong patch, so I got alot of faults, but this is with the GOTY patch. Can someone that got it working send these files to me, and I would be really happy! Could it be a big schratch in one of the CDs? 456820 0 Posted February 1, 2006 well you say you used the wrong patch whats the right one do? This is usually because when you reinstall without uninstalling it doesnt overite the files. I have had this message many times but it always seems to figure it out by itself without me relising what i did to get it to work. It does alwyas need a fresh install though to get it to work thats all i know. It could be that if the CD has a scrath it will only copy some of the data and not the whole data which will cause it to error sometimes in my case when i uninstalled ofp there was a scratch on the CD which stopped it from installing and deleteed all the files so i ended up having to buy the game again.
