Just curious...own an Apple Mac

Recommended Posts

PC is more open system that you can adjust to your needs.

Well, so it seems this is what I'm after the most.

Add the fact that Macs aren't 100% reliable either. I managed to hard lock one after 5 minutes on my first contact ever with those computers and I wasn't even trying to do anything extraordinary. For me the myth about reliable Macs went down the toilet. Well maintained Windows PC can surely be equally crash-proof.

However, I agree with you. If this one solution you need works for you, why not stick to it? whistle.gif

I don't mean any disrespect but having owned an ipod doesn't reflect the quality of the Mac itself.

It is like owning a broken key chain from Ferrari and saying that their cars suck.

I am a complete reflection of incompatibility with computers and still I am a CG artist. I remember that it was enough for me to stand next to a PC or server for it to brake down, so maybe the hardware is as good as it's user.

Those two videoes are just awesome... I had seen the first one before, but not the second.

My only experience with the Mac, was trying to install printer software on my Girlfriends Mac (that she had borrowed). First of all, on my computer, I just plug it in, and windows install the drivers automatically so im ready to go.

On the Macintosh, I realised that I had to download the software. So I did. I downloaded it on my PC (Which was connected to the Internet), and then tried connecting the two PC's over network. After about an hour, I gave up. Sure, my windows PC could see the Macintosh, but when I tried to enter it, it simply wanted a password. I tried everything! And the Macintosh couldnt see my PC at all banghead.gif

Then I thought, okay... Ill connect the Mac to the Internet, and then download it directly. So I did - I copied the ISP connect software over onto a diskette, and then opened up the software. Connected the lan cable with the Mac, wrote in the username and password - and pressed connect.... It locked up banghead.gif

After a couple hours of trying, I borrowed a car and went to a friend and borrowed his Laptop PC. Plugged in the printer and was ready to print.

Thats my story about Macintosh, and ill never own one. Even if I was paid to do so
