Heatseeker 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Any specific error message appearing? What about a OPF.RPT file? See if you have such a file in your OPFR main folder, open with notepad and post the error if possible. .
Bullet Magnet 0 Posted January 13, 2006 No error msg seen, just either a complete lock up or crash out to desktop. Latest error report from single steal the car mission, if it helps. Heatseeker 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Have you tried reverting back to an older video driver version? Recently i found that in my system and with any latest nvidia FW driver i cant enable V-sync with OPFR, i wiped HD, reinstalled windows, monitored temperatures and ran some tests, tried both SP1 and SP2, etc. And after alot of trouble i found that for me v-sync has to be turned off otherwise OPFR will freeze and ctd . You have 77:72 installed, i sugest you try xtreme G 81:98 from tweaks r us and give it a try with V sync off , if that doesnt help consider reverting to an older detonator version like that one and see how it goes . Bullet Magnet 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Thanks heatseeker, I initially installed nvidia's 80 something driver from the website cos I seem to have lost the cd that came with the graphics card That driver didn't work so I scrubbed it and tried 77.72 with no success. Think I'll try that xtreme 81.98 next, if that doesn't do it I'll go back to and even older nvidia driver. Failing that it's a hike up a big hill and throw the tw*tting computer off the top and back over it a couple of times with the Jeep for good measure. I'll call back if I still have troubles. Thanks again dude. Jon.
deanosbeano 0 Posted January 14, 2006 are you getting a small black screen at the top on start then back to windows ? if so it think you need to click flashpoint prefferences in the start/programmes/codemaster and set texture heap down to 16 mb ? and possibly turn some effects off. search this forum ,i once had same trouble with small memory and it worked. Bullet Magnet 0 Posted January 14, 2006 All sorted now guys, b*llocks new nvidia drivers caused it. Ended up reverting back to 56.64 and it runs fine although the colours are a bit dull but I can tinker those a bit. Cheers for the helpful hints. *Two, fall back into formation!* Jesus Berghoff, chill out I've just got it going again, gimmie a chance man! Thanks again guys. See ya, Jon.
